Dartmouth is an historic port on the south coast of Devon which welcomes thousands of visitors each year – it is beautiful!
Perhaps most famous for the Britannia Royal Naval College – set on the hill (pictured above) – the town is home to our Seated Titles, as that is where the land (“Seat”) is located. There are lovely shops to browse through all day – very few “high street” chains as it is not big enough! “Foodies” travel from miles around to eat in the many restaurants. Mitch Tonks has a great seafood restaurant on the front – The Seahorse, and a couple of amazing traditional fish and chip shops too. There is something in town for everyone – when I visit I love just watching the yachts and passenger ferries / trips go about their business on the river.Continue reading “Dartmouth, a port with Royal Connections”
